Note the minor flecks, but good contrast and bright frost on the devices.

Lot 224
1885 Liberty Nickel. PCGS graded MS-65. A gem by any standards, and this one is truly a delight to behold. Frosty and bright, this one is untoned and nearly as fresh as the day it was coined. We note minor peripheral die cracks, mostly on the reverse. This is the key date to the series, with a low mintage and not many saved in high grade. Note that this is the old style green insert holder. PCGS has graded 22 this high, with just 9 graded higher.
Estimated Value $2,000 - 2,500.

Lot 258
1912-D Liberty Nickel. NGC graded MS-64. Forget the price sheets on this one, as the colors are spectacular. Deep iridescent gold and red on both sides, with satiny nickel tones over luster elsewhere. Technically a great coin too, as few are found in full gem condition, and this one has no surface problems whatsoever. A couple of very minor flyspecks, if one must find something to worry about, but this one is far nicer than most seen.
Estimated Value $300 - 400.
